Seeking candidates for 1-2 postdoctoral fellow openings in the areas of (i) attosecond and single-cycle physics, (ii) x-ray generation, (iii) coherent control using stable CEP pulses, and (iv) comb generation using QPM crystals. Candidates must have earned a Ph.D. degree in Electrical Engineering with emphasis in electro-optics, Physics, or Physical Chemistry or a related field. Preference will be given to candidates with experience in one or more of these areas: femtosecond or attosecond pulse generation; ultrafast/intense laser interactions with atoms/molecules; Raman generation, electromagnetically induced transparency, etc. The initial appointment will be for a one year term with a second and possible third year term appointment contingent upon performance and availability of funding. Work location could be either at the Institute of Atomic and Molecular Sciences in Taipei, Taiwan or at the National Tsing Hua University in Hsinchu, Taiwan. The positions are open until filled and the successful candidate may start immediately.

Immediate openings are available to assist in research on ultrafast laser development and applications in the attosecond time scale. Must have a B.S. or M.S. degree in physics, electro-optics, electrical engineering, or physical chemistry or related fields. Candidates with experience in high power lasers, laser spectroscopy, laser design, nonlinear optics, atomic and molecular physics, or Fourier optics will be given priority in consideration.
