| A. High pressure cylinder |
| 1. |
High pressure cylinder should be tied to the fixed frame or wall using metal bars or chain. It is better to tie the cylinder at the height of 1/3 and 2/3. |

Put the cap on the cylinder when the gas is not using. |
| 3. |
Poison gas should be stored according to the regulation. For example,
F2 gas should be in the hood, and SiH4, which is explosive, should be in explosion proof storage cabinet. |

Flammable gas should not be stored with O2. |

B. Electricity |
| 1. |
No extension cable laid on the ground. Use extension calve with fuse. |
| 2. |
The naked cable in the power control box should be insulated. |

Power control box should be labeled. |

C. Chemicals |
| 1. |
No large amount of solvent near the exit. |
| 2. |
The sign ˇ§Poison chemicalsˇ¨ is posted on the outside of the door if lab has poison chemicals. |

Poison chemical data base is available at the entrance of the lab. |
| 4. |
Waste chemicals are all properly labeled. |
| 5. |
Chemicals should be stored in tray to avoid leak. |

D. Water |
| 1. |
voiding using plastic hose which is cracked easily due to high water pressure, or after a long time of usage. |

| E. Laser |
| 1. |
All the laser beam paths, laser beam leak are properly blocked. |
| 2. |
Label ˇ§ laser in useˇ¨ should be posted if laser is in used in lab. |

F. Earthquake |
| 1. |
All the book shelves, chemical storage cabinets are tied on the wall, and simple equipments are added to prevent the fall due to small earthquake. |

G.. Environment |
| 1. |
No food allowed in the refrigerator, which is for chemicals. No chemical is allowed in the refrigerator for the food. The refrigerator should be labeled. |

| 2. |
No food in experimental area. |
| 3. |
Hall way in the lab should be at least 90 cm. |
| 4. |
No obstacle near the exit. At least two exits for each lab. |
| 5. |
Fire extinguishers should be easily accessible. |
| 6. |
No pet is allowed in lab. |
