  Theoretical endeavours are directed at both structural and collisional studies of atoms. Major efforts are as follows.

  1. Development of many-body dynamic theories
    1. Relativistic equations of motion.
    2. Multiconfiguration relativistic random-phase approximation.
    3. Many-body theory with parity-nonconserving weak neutral interactions.
    4. Few-body correlations in exotic atoms.
  2. Spin polarization and angular correlation in electron-atom collisions
    1. Elastic and inelastic eletron-atom scatterings.
    2. Electron-impact ionization of atoms.
    3. Auger and radiative transitions following electron-atom collisions.
  3. Photoionization of atoms
    1. Spin polarization, orientation, and coherence effects in photoionization processes.
    2. Fluorescence and Auger processes following photoionization.
    3. Multiphoton ionization processes.
  4. Compilation of spectroscopic data
    1. Calculation of atomic transition data for various isoelectronic sequences.
    2. Energy-level and Grotrian diagrams of Fe and its ions.
